Article: Tapering for a Marathon

I hate this time in marathon training more than any. It’s easy to run the high miles and long speedwork sessions, but when it comes time to cut the miles down, I really struggle. I always feel I should be running more miles.
This is a great article by Pete Pfiztinger. I highly recommend picking up his book, “Advanced Marathoning” as it’s one of the best training books available.

One of my friends had posted a link to this article. A very interesting take on the taper for a marathon. This seems to align up with the training I do. It seems to work since the last couple races I’ve felt extremely prepared and well rested, but just sharp enough.
