The night of the sauna in the hills…

Posted by:

Typical Wednesday night hill run last night. I probably should have gotten up in the morning and did a little shakeout run, but I was sleepy and slept in. I even remember thinking that I should get up and get it done, but nope that wasn’t happening.
Did the normal warm-up loop and it was warm and very sauna-like, nothing like last week’s miserable weather. We went through the loop (2.2 miles) at a good pace and was feeling pretty …

I went out on the warmup loop with Rob and Brian. It rained so hard there was ruts in the …

The night the Hyland Hills beat me into submission…

Posted by:

It was really bound to happen sometime this year. Last year they tried to get me with bee stings three different times. This year, they were really working to take me down.
I wasn’t even going to go, especially with the Afton Trail 25k on Saturday (which by the way is going to be brutal), but Jake talked me into it. Then I get to the parking lot and two of the fast guys are there and they looked like …
