Turning the corner…

July was definitely a month to forget and I’m so very glad it’s over. I’m fairly certain that it could have been the worst running month I’ve experienced, with about 150 miles ran.
The heat and humidity absolutely killed me. There were runs where I couldn’t make it more than four miles without taking walk breaks. I didn’t do a run over 10 miles. It was just plain miserable.

July 2010 Summary

Well July was basically planned as a build the base type month. So in that sense, I’d have to say it was a pretty successful month.
July had to be one of the most humid months on record. Every run, but one, I checked as humid. The only time I check that on the ol’ running log is when the dew point is over 60. There was several days were the dew point was over 70 and a couple over …

June 2010 Summary

June was not a good month.
Coming off of a late May marathon, I knew June was going to be a recovery month. I was hoping to get a 5k or two in there somewhere and get my mileage back to around 60 miles a week. None of that happened.
